today is my birthday!
this morning, mommy got up early like she always does, but when she came back from her shower, she had a special breakfast for me! it was pretty yummy, but not nearly as good as what they gave me last night. oh man! then when dad got up, they gave me a present! it was another pop-up house like my old one, but new and very springy! i got right in and rolled around for a little while.
since today had scary weather, mom's school let her come home early to stay with me and the dog. i've been watching the rain for a while now. i think mom has a special dinner planned for me tonight, and i'm very excited! what a good day!

Bad Day!
about a week ago, mom found a little bug on me. of course she went all crazy and decided something needed to be done about it. come on, mom! it was just a little bug. she tried to convince dad to get some bug medicine, but he said it was too expensive, so instead, she came up with the most dreadful awful terrible thing she could have ever done to me...
THEY GAVE ME A BATH!!!
first they caught me, then they put me in a sink with water in and got me wet. i tried to get out, but they kept pushing me back in! at one point, i even tried to get pointy and climb up onto mom's shoulders, but she just squeezed me and rubbed weird smelling bubbles on me. it was absolutely the most awful thing.
afterwards, they took me out, wrapped me in a towel, and brought me into the bedroom. mom turned on the heater for me, but i'm scared of the sound, so i stood pretty far away from it. i was so wet and gross looking. :(
eventually i dried off and snuggled next to dad for a long time. i ignored mom for a long time, too because whyyyyy would she do that???? really?????
i'll get you, mom.

last night, something terrible happened! mom moved my box out of the bedroom, so i couldn't make noise at night. :( i will be plotting my revenge, and it will probably have something to do with the new paint project she's doing for her friend.

my mommy took this picture a while ago when she lived in a different house, but i think it fits today. my goal last night was to keep as many people awake in the house as possible, but since mommy and daddy locked me into the bedroom, i had to settle for keeping them awake. i think i was pretty successful. mom kept reaching down and taking me out of my fun noise-box that Eric left in the room.
after mom got up and dressed me, i ran into Eric's room to make sure he was awake and to say hi. we played a really fun game where i hid in his room and when he found me, he'd throw me into the hallway, but i'd just run back into his room before he could shut the door. then mom found me locked in the bathroom by myself. she asked Eric if he put me in there, but he's not telling. :)
